I am in love with capturing images like these, obsessed with finding new favorite spots, and always excited for the next set of faces I get to see through my viewfinder.  This was a quick session with some kids who really are so great! We met at Peters Lake Park then afterward grabbed some dinner together and I got to know the girls a little more.  I have photographer Ethan so many times...he's pro at this point!  It was great to have sisters Jenna and Jorja join us for photos of all three cousins together! I have to say how sweet and wonderful Jorja is and how refreshing it was to have a conversation with high school senior like Jenna who has a great head on her shoulders and has such a bright future! Thinking back to being a senior in high school with your whole life a head of you and I remember those feelings of excitement and nervousness.  Jenna, enjoy these last few months you have in high school.  You will always look back at them with such fondess.  And I must add that Peters Lake Park is truly a hidden gem, please if you live in the Peters Township area, go there if you never have.  I promise your head will be clear and your spirit refreshed!  I can always count on it's peaceful surroundings and gorgeous light.

One of my absolute favorite things about photography is the moment I get to first scroll through the images from a session on my computer....picking my favorites, and editing a few while I cull through and decide which ones are keepers.  Most of the time its very hard for me to narrow things down to a workable amount of photos.   I advertise that each one of my sessions includes at least 20-30 final edited images, but I can say that that final number is usually closer to 60-75 images.   My job gets even better and the sorting gets even harder when the images I am editing are of some of the most dear people in my life.  Just like this session... one of my dearest friends from college who is such a beautiful and strong person inside and out and her two handsome, funny, and never-a-dull-moment boys.... the younger of the two just happens to be my Godson too :)  I may be partial, but it doesn't get much cuter than these two.  The amount of energy and spunk they have is awesome and I am so thankful that I get to see all three of their faces on the other end of my lens!

This session was an absolute blast!  I am so thankful to be able to work with easy-going, genuine people and this awesome family was no different.  We took our time and strolled around Mingo Creek Park, and I found a few new favorite spots! Their little lady was so sweet.  It took a few moments for her to warm up to me, which is to be expected, but boy we became friends fast :)  She has the sweetest little smile and oh my those BIG brown eyes!! We had lots of fun "racing" down the bike path!  She kept saying, "I'm gonna beat you Manny!"... so sweet!  I even got to talk "shop" a bit with dad, who shares a passion for photography.  The love shared between these three is evident and I was happy to capture some memories for them.  It's seriously families like this that make me love my job!
