The K Families
I love sessions like this one because not only did I get the chance to spend a gorgeous fall afternoon strolling the grounds of a historic mansion, but I also got to spend an hour or two with some of my favorite people. I love being able to give gorgeous images to people whom I have known for most of my life. Who would have imaged that back in the good ol' days at OCHS that years later we would be getting together for family photo sessions!? It also makes me realize that I need to coordinate some OC sessions in the coming months.
I always look forward to my annual session with the Kresinskis and was thrilled when I found out that the Krensavages and their new baby girl would be joining us this time around. We decided on the Mansion House at Hartwood Acres in Allison Park for our session. This was the second time I had shot there and just like the first, it didn't disappoint. The fall colors were gorgeous and everyone was perfectly coordinated and looking fabulous... I would expect nothing less ;)

Baby Nikko
After shooting my very first maternity session for this little man's mama back in August, she contacted me about newborn photos. I was so thrilled to meet little Nikko and spend some time with this new family of four. Big sis didn't waste anytime warming up to me that day...as she "helped" me set up my beanbag, and backdrop stand. She loved searching through my props of hats, wraps, blankets, and crowns. During my newborn sessions -actually all of my portrait sessions for that matter I like to mix up my photography with both posed and lifestyle/natural shots. And this awesome clan did a great job of allowing me to capture it all. Little Nikko rocked his session. Such a wonderful baby, sleeping almost the entire time with just a few quick feeding breaks.

Kristie + Tim Engagement
I had been looking forward to this session for quite some time. I have had the pleasure of getting know Kristie over the past few years. She is such a fun person and is an amazing friend to my sister, Tara. Tim and Kristie met during their time at Clarion University. Tim and his brother just happened to be renting the upstairs apartment of the house where Kristie was sharing the downstairs apartment with my sister. They hit if off and have been together ever since. They also share the same birthday, too. Obviously, it has always been meant to be! I love that these two don't take each other too seriously and the fun they have together shows through in these photos brilliantly! We had a great day full of photography, starting off in Foxburg, PA where Tim popped the question and ending on the street where they met! Congrats you two! I can't wait to capture all the fun and excitement of your wedding next summer!

The Sanata Family
I had the pleasure of meeting these two little ladies along with their parents at Hartwood Acres Mansion, in Allison Park, PA. If anyone has the opportunity to visit the grounds of this home, trust me you won't regret it. The house, grounds, gardens, and walkways are a photographers dream. Every corner you turn, you find another spot just begging to be photographed. I had such a great time walking the grounds and just following these girls around, capturing them in all their cuteness. It didn't take long for either of them to warm up to the camera. Big sis was such a natural taking my direction when needed... made my job super easy! I even got mom and dad to jump in for a few photos. I can't wait to go back to this location again! One of my new favorite places!

Marcie & Isla
You've heard the saying that goes something like, your cousins are your first friends. And that couldn't be more true for Marcie and I. We share countless childhood memories, especially those from the days spent at our Grandma's house...playing in the "blue room", climbing the trees in her backyard, and spending our dollars on penny candy at the little store across the street. Those memories are just some of the reasons why I was honored to be able to spend the afternoon with Marcie and Isla and capture a few moments in time that I know, as a mother, will be cherished for many years. Becoming a mother is no doubt life changing. There are no words fitting to describe the overwhelming and immediate love you feel for that sweet soul you are now responsible for. But soon, life takes over and our little ones become toddlers, and before you know it, you are sending them off to kindergarten. I love being able to freeze a few moments in time, so that you can look back and smile at what an amazing journey it has been.
I have to also share the back story on Isla's middle name. Marcie and her best friend, Abby, many years ago made a promise that they would give their children each other's middle names. Well Abby's middle name happens to be Jean, so Isla became Isla Jean, and I think it's just perfect! As Marcie would say, Abby has been her heart and soul since they were little, and now Isla will always have a little piece of Abby with her too.
Marcie, I have already witnessed what a wonderful mother you are! Your free spirit and love for all things outdoors will be an amazingly wonderful influence on your little one. I also know you are a person who loves adventure, get ready girl, this is going to be your greatest adventure yet! Much love to you! And Isla, welcome to the family!
