During my Summer Mini Sessions in July I had the pleasure of photographing this great couple! Tom and Jan are part of my awesome group of regulars at The Sharp Edge. I have been serving them their favorite liquid libations quite frequently over the last six years and have gotten to know them or at least their drink of choice. I can always count on Jan to order a delicious Gulden Draak and Tom usually our house beer Over the Edge, or if the day calls for it, tangueray on the rocks. Not only is Jan an expert jukebox DJ, but I have also heard she is quite the chef. Check out her blog for some mouth watering creations http://www.hoyteroo.tumblr.com/. The guys at the bar can also always count on Tom to bring in his homegrown habanero peppers to spice up the happy hour snack.
When Jan mentioned she needed a new head shot for work, I told her about my upcoming mini's and she jumped at the idea. She also convinced Tom to get in on the fun! I told her to bring her boys, Jim and Dan (also known to frequent the Edge), but instead I got the pleasure of meeting their favorite child, Annie. I should mention that Annie has four legs, I don't want to start any fights :)

DETAILS:
-45 minute sessions for up to FIVE people
(larger groups please contact me for details)
-Sessions can be for children, families, seniors, engagement, maternity
(newborns can not be done due to time constraints)
-Sessions held at South Park County Park.
-Online password protected gallery of all final images.
$150.00 - your choice of 15 images delivered via digital download.
$200.00 - your choice of 15 images on custom wood USB drive.
(option to purchase all final images from session at additional cost)

-All time slots are first come first serve.
-After contacting me I ask that you send your deposit ($50.00) along with your signed contract to confirm your photography session within one week.
-Deposits are non-refundable.

Kristie + Tim 6.7.14 | Peters Township Wedding Photographer
I have known this day was coming for quite awhile. Both the bride and groom are dear friends of my sister and I have had the pleasure of getting to know them over the years. They met when Kristie and my sister lived together in the bottom apartment of a house in Clarion, and Tim and his brother lived upstairs. I had the chance to take their engagement photos last year and we had so much fun, even visiting the house where it all began. You can revisit their engagement session here. I knew their June wedding was going to be fabulous and I'm not sure that it would be possible to have a more perfect day.
Kristie and Tim had a day full of sunshine, and lots of fun. Their guests were surrounded by rustic details and shades of pink at Anchor Village in Shippenville, Pennsylvania.

I want to take a moment and give a shout out to all of you amazing guys in our lives...Happy Father's Day! You may be called dad, daddy, grandpa, brother, pop, hubby, pa, uncle, pappy, whatever it may be, know that you are appreciated today and always. Thanks for being the rock for your wife, the knee for your kiddos to sit on, the spider killer, garbage taker outer, car washer, grass mower, dog's best friend, sports lover, butt pincher, grill master, monster in the closet catcher, best bear hugger, tree house maker, baseball catcher, hard worker, giant cannon ball jumper, look so good in a suit wearing, picture hanger, furniture mover, kiss steaker, bad back seat driver, always a hand to hold, and the best shoulders to sit on, but not always the best dancer, left over pizza eater, blanket hogger, beer drinker, couldn't go a day without you, best guy around!

So with this post, I'll start by saying that photography isn't always easy. There is a ton of planning, brainstorming, emails, location scouting, checking equipment, praying for mother nature to cooperate, charging batteries, all before a session has even started, and usually the majority of this planning is done between two people who have never met. I love everything about photography, including getting to know my clients. But let me tell you how great it is to photograph someone who you already know. And I knew this family was going to make my job pretty easy. I am lucky to call them neighbors and was thrilled to meet up with them and capture some updated family portraits. I have enjoyed getting to know them, especially this year since our boys were in the same kindergarten class. I have watched this brother and sister duo play endlessly in the neighborhood and I knew they are full of energy, I couldn't wait to capture that with my camera and they didn't disappoint. Thank you so much to Lincoln Family... you guys rocked your session, and I hope you are as thrilled with the results as I am.
