As I have admitted already in previous blogs, I am by no means an eloquent writer, or really a writer at all. But I am compelled to share more details about my sessions and the memories and experiences, not just captured by using my camera, but the actual experience of having a fun family photography session. Sometimes I struggle with how to begin a blog; not wanting to sound repetitive. So here it goes ;)
Oh this family! Well actually they are my family and they have become seasoned Giehll Photography vets over the last few years. Kirsten (my husband's first cousin) has always been so supportive of my photography, even waaaay back when she decided to trust me to take some wedding photos for her. After her actual wedding (which was one of THE hottest days ever in July, on a football field..NEED I SAY MORE)...we decided to "re-due" some photos of her and her bridesmaids. I will admit I was intimidated, because some very well known photographers did an amazing job at her wedding. I looked up to their work then, and still do now. So, here was little old me still doing a lot of "free or close to free photo shoots" to gain experience and build my portfolio. But I was excited to capture some more photos for her so the girls all got together and even Carlos joined in, tux and all...it was a lot of fun! You know you want to see some of those photos right!
Jump ahead to 2015 and we had planned a maternity session, for a soon to be baby boy... but my silly brain had other plans. So their first family session was at Noah's six month birthday and then again when he turned one. Since during that period I had stopped blogging, I would love to share a few high lights from those sessions...Just look at how much Noah has grown!
Oh my! THE best hair!
Noah is ONE!!
I couldn't be happier to document this family and continue to capture moments in time for them. So I can now officially welcome the Andrade Family to the Giehll Photography family...via blog post!
Please meet the Andrade Family...
Noah took a little tumble while running from us...he thought is was hilarious, it really was!
Noah, determined to carry his cars all at once!
Thank you Kirsten, Carlos, and Noah! You always rock your sessions! Can't wait for more!
All my best,
P.S - Shameless plug...Kirsten is the reason why I have recently been obsessed and finally embraced Lularoe. Please check out her own small business at https://www.facebook.com/groups/lularoekirstenandrade/
That cute blue dress in the above photo, known as a "Carly" is a life-saver!
